Calibration Patterns

Dear Comcast,

Can you please broadcast calibration patterns on Comcast Sports Net (HD) so us HDTV owners can calibrate our TV's for our STB's.

Thanks.

Re: Calibration Patterns

There used to be a "Tune Up" program on INHD on Saturday mornings (07:00). Not sure if it is still being broadcast since I DVR'd it.

Re: Calibration Patterns

Jayman,

Sadly, INHD is not broadcasting "Tune Up."  On 7/4 they broadcast "bars and tones." It's possible, but not easy, to calibrate color  and hue (blue/white, cyan/magenta are not next to each other) and I can't figure out how to use the pattern to set white and black levels.  I am trying to contact INHD to see if they can air "Tune Up" again.

Re: Calibration Patterns

AAH, just like the old days when over the air local stations would air the test tone & that black & white calibration wheel, an hour or two before they'd start their broadcast day.  But, I'm dating myself [staggers away from the computer, w/ her cane, to find her teeth wink ].
