Looking

I'm new here and I thought I'd introduce myself and ask a question.  My name is Paul and I'm a disabled Vietnam vet.  I recently had a book published (The Other Casualty Of War) (WWW.TheOtherCasualtyOfWar.Com).

On 1-11-2006 WZMY TV (Here in New England) did a small news story on my book.  I was wondering if anyone happened to record that show?  The show was My TV Now.  I know it's a long shot, but figured I'd ask.

I have recorded it on my comcast dvr, but have no way of getting it off of it to be able to put a small video byte of it on my web site.

Thanks!

Re: Looking

You can hook up a VCR to the DVR using composite (or s-video), play the program, and record the output signal onto the VCR analog tape.

Re: Looking

Maybe the TV Station will slide you a tape.

The other option is DVR Analog Out --> DVD Recorder --> Rip via computer DVD drive to MPEG or DivX

Re: Looking

Thanks for the suggestions!  I called the TV station and they said they will get a vcr tape to me.

Now to figure a way to go from vhs to digital and put some of the video on my web site...

Thanks everyone!
