Strange Problem with the DCT 6412

This is kind of an odd problem and I can't seem to find any record of anyone else experiencing this issue.
When we watch or record shows in HD on NBC, Fox or CBS, if we receive a phone call, text message or access the internet with our AT&T cell phones during the program, the image freezes and becomes tiled or pixelated with no sound and it doesn't stop until we end the phone call or the text is received. A Comcast tech informed me that the problem is that the AT&T signal interferes with the DVR somehow and there is no fix.
We are getting pretty tired of the issue, so I would appreciate it if anyone has any ideas or solutions to the problem. Thank you for any advice.

Seriously.  If my phone was leaking enough signal to screw up electronic equipment, I'd begin to be worried about my health.  The phones are the problem here, not the DVR.  The DVR is telling you about the problem.
