What's everyone watching this summer?

So what are you all recording/watching these hot summer days ?
I'm recording movies on Sci-Fi, but for most of them, I watch 20 mins. or so,
then delete, due to lack of interesst.

I recorded "Middleman" on family channel yesterday.  Only watched about
10 min. so far.  Looks like it's gonna be a kinda Men in  Black show, but
lame. Hey gotta watch SOMETHING.

I also watch Robin Hood on BBC.

Maid Marian:

Trying out "Burn Notice" and "In Plain Sight" right now. Not to bad. Also recorded Middleman last night but haven't been able to watch it yet.

Re: What's everyone watching this summer?

We are fans of Burn Notice and cannot wait for the new season, but In Plain Sight has been a non-starter for us (we watch it, but not enthusiastically like Burn Notice or Psych).

Happy to see the Mole back, although it's not as good or as smart as I remember.

Took a chance on "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" on Showtime last night.  Pleasantly surprised. The girl is not very pretty but is VERY sexy.

We watched the first Nashville Star.  Not bad, but "I know American Idol.  I've watched American Idol.  And you, sir, are no American Idol."

So You Think You Can Dance is a favorite.

Baseball.

Recorded all episodes of Swingtown so far, but have watched none.

Last Comic Standing sucks right now, but gets better once the competition starts. We get through the episodes quickly, because we fast forward through the auditions and only watch the "come back tonight" parts.

Watched Spider-Man 3 a couple weeks ago.  Terrible.

Basically just counting the days (26) until Big Brother returns.

SYTYCD, Charlie Jade, Nashville Star.  In Plain Sight reminds me of Amazing Grace, which grew on me, so I'll continue on.

Formula One races every couple of weeks.

Movies -- mostly old, or at least not recent.  One of the benefits of aging is that your favorite movies seem new again.  Sometimes I can't even recall whether I've ever seen them.  wink

And Nancy ("Weeds") is back.

Re: What's everyone watching this summer?

Swingtown (quite daring for CBS)
Weeds (YAY!)
Ice Road Truckers (Thom Beers/Original Productions owns me)
Ax Men (see above)
Verminators (see above)
Americas Port (see above)
Deadliest Catch (see above)
Dirty Jobs
30 Days
The Mole
To Tell The Truth (they really know how to stretch it into an hour, thank god for dvr)
Battlestar Galactica
tons of movies being recorded, not yet watched

BTW:  Now that my signal issues with DirecTV have been tweaked/realigned away, I can say that I am really enjoying their service and the HR21 dvr.

I forgot to mention how completely we were getting hooked on Holmes on Homes before Discovery Home jumped on the pet-rock-like Green fad bandwagon and became Planet Green.

Re: What's everyone watching this summer?

Not much on tv appeals to me right now....I'm a fall season fan mostly, but my wife watches most reality shows, year round. Sorry to you reality tv fans, but I just hate 'em.  Most of my tv watching during the summer consists of the stuff on the Military Channel, or History channel, Discovery, blah, blah.
Her favorite non-reality show is Army Wives, and I've grown to really like it too. Probably the only show that both of us never miss.
When we both watch tv, tho, its usually movies on dvd (or a least they were on dvd at one time).
Just waiting for the good shows to start back up this fall.

Doctor Who
Charlie Jade (unfortunately moved to Mon/Tue overnights from Friday primetime)
BSG (but now have to wait until second half of season, whenever that is)
Dirty Jobs
Verminators
Robin Hood
Graham Norton Show
F1 racing (Fox only as I don't get Speed)

Some miscellaneous specials

Several so-so History channel shows:
Shockwave
Mega Disasters
Surviving History
MonsterQuest (just how many Bigfoot-oid's are there???)

Waiting for:

Same here (except for Idol).

I watch a little of Idol near the end of the season.  Usually I watch the last 5 or 6 episodes of the performances.  Luckily, I have FF and can watch them pretty fast.  I just let my wife fill me in on who got eliminated on the next night.
Pretty much the same thing for Last Comic Standing. Probably actually enjoy that a little more than Idol.

I forgot, I always watch every episode of the Amazing Race.  I like that one.

What I really hate, reality show-wise, are all the shows where everbody plots and cries, and everybody sits around talking about everyone else.  Geez, my 31 years of marriage and raising two daughters gave me plenty of that.  smile   Don't need any more.

Misread the web site. Both Monk and Psych return on July 18.

Season 5 of Stargate: Atlantis begins July 11.
