SlySoft Defeats BD+ Blu-Ray Copy Protection

SlySoft has announced that they've defeated BD+, the copy protection used on High Definition Blu-Ray discs.  The company claims that Blu-Ray owners can now make security back-up copies of their BD+ protected discs using SlySoft's AnyDVD HD version, released on March 19.

According to the release, Richard Doherty of the Envisioneering Group stated just eight months ago, "BD+, unlike AACS [used on HD-DVD] which suffered a partial hack last year, won't likely be breached for 10 years."

LOL... just goes to show that DRM and other protection schemes are mostly futile (they do work on the casual consumer).
